FT. MYERS, Florida, April 22. GULF Coast Swim Team 12-year-old Nicholas Caldwell broke the 11-12 boys 1,500-meter freestyle record at the 2006 GCST Spring Invite on April 22 at the Lee County/FGCU Aquatic Center.
Nicholas swam a 16:44.67 to shatter the old record set in 2004 of 17:08.14 by nearly twenty-four seconds.
The new record marks Caldwell's fourth NAG record in only three months.
