NAIA Championships: Diving Opens Day One Competition

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, February 28. THE first night of competition at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championships concluded with titles awarded in the women's one-meter and men's three-meter diving events.
Caitlyn Taylor of Asbury College claimed the first title offered at the Palo Alto Natatorium when she compiled 422.55 points to grab the one-meter event for the women. Lindsey Cline of Cal Baptist placed second with 414.65 points, while Asbury's Ashley Poore finished third with 401.55 points.
For the men, Ben Wahlman of Cal Baptist dominated the three-meter with 569.60 points, while Illinois Tech's Branden Toro snared second with 511.80 points. Lindenwood's Derik Scott placed third with 435.70 points.
