Mizzou Hits the Jackpot With Verbal Pledge from Junior National Qualifier Karolina Bank

NEW COMMIT: The University of Missouri has a new addition for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Karolina Bank of Lafayette, Colorado.

She will join Meaghan Harnish, Sydney BalesGrace Striley and Grace Hanson as a member of the Tigers’ Class of 2026.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Missouri!!!!?? I want to thank my teammates, family, and coaches for supporting me throughout this whole process! I cannot wait to be a part of the ZOU fam! Go Tigers ?!!” 

A talented sprint freestyler and breaststroker, Bank does her club swimming with Elevation Aquatics and most recently competed at the Speedo Summer West Championships where she finaled in the 100m free after earning six best times at Austin Sectionals. She also finished 12th in the 100 breast at Four Corner Sectionals back in March and was the 500 free runner-up at Colorado Seniors in 2020.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.95
  • 100 free – 51.46
  • 200 free – 1:49.93
  • 100 breast – 1:02.98
  • 200 breast – 2:17.70

Also competing for Fairview High School, Bank is a six-time individual Colorado 5A State Championship finalist. The NISCA All-American was the runner-up in the 200 free and placed fifth in the 100 breast as a junior while taking seventh and 17th, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

Under head coach Andrew Grevers, the Tigers finished seventh at the 2021 SEC Championships.
