Mizzou Gets Verbal From Nebraska State Champ Jadeon Carter

NEW COMMIT: The University if Missouri has received a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Jadeon Carter of Lincoln, Nebraska.

He told Swimming World:

“I am thrilled and beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Missouri to continue my academic and athletic career. I chose Missouri because it made me feel at home and the culture is second to none. I would like to thank all of my friends and family for all of their support. I would also like to thank all of my coaches for everything they have done for me, as well as Coach Grevers, Coach Andrew, and Coach Alec for giving me this amazing opportunity! MIZ!!”

Carter trains year-round with Lincoln Select Swimming and last competed at Columbia Sectionals where he placed fourth in the 200m back and ninth in the 800m free. He competed at Juniors West back in December and won the 1500m free at the Midwestern Long Course Championships last summer.

His best times include:

  • 100 back – 52.41
  • 200 back – 1:50.43
  • 200 free – 1:41.20
  • 500 free – 4:34.01
  • 1000 free – 9:38.10

Currently a junior at Lincoln East High School, Carter won the 200 free and 500 free at the 2024 Nebraska State Championships. He earned bronze in both of those events during his sophomore season.
