NEW MILFORD, N.J., February 26. MY friend, Julia Dolce, age 94, a Garden State Masters swimmer and world record-holder, is in the hospital with a bad case of bronchitis.
At first it looked very bad, but Julia has improved the past few days. Julia is a very tough lady, so I'm sure she'll be back on her feet and in the pool soon.
She was planning on competing in Italy (and breaking many records) as she will be able to swim in the 95-99 age group.
I'm sure she would love to receive cards or notes from her swimming friends. You can send them to her home as her neighbor is delivering her mail:
