Lithuanian Long Course Championships: Second Day in the Books
ALYTUS, Lithuania, March 13. THE second day of swimming at the Lithuanian Long Course Championships came to a close in Alytus.
Aliona Adamovich topped the women's 400 free in 4:32.73, while Jurate Deerbinskaite took second in 4:33.71. Guoda Jonelyte finished third in 4:44.77. Irakli Revishvili posted a 4:02.85 to win the men's 400 free. Uladzimir Zhyharau (4:03.65) and Yaraslau Pronin (4:08.16) earned second and third.
Evghenia Tanasienco touched first in the women's 50 breast with a 33.10, while Urte Kazakeviciute posted a 33.32 for second. Erika Bespalko placed third in 34.23. Igor Kozlovsij won the men's 50 breast in 29.72. Jevgenij Gamper (30.28) and Simas Jaradunas (30.43) completed the top three.
Gabriela Nikitina touched out Iulia Olari, 1:06.38 to 1:06.62, for the women's 100 back victory. Inga Dukyte took third in 1:07.06. Matas Andriekus earned the men's 100 back title in 58.07. Konstantins Blohins (58.79) and Justinas Bilis (59.65) placed second and third.
Vaiva Gimbutyte won the women's 200 fly in 2:24.86, while Aiste Dobrovolskaite (2:28.30) and Giedre Tribockyte (2:38.03) completed the top three. Edgaras Dtura (2:07.69), Aliaksandr Bratskou (2:12.56) and Tadas Dudkinas (2:14.30) topped the men's 200 fly.
Aksana Dzimidava won the women's 50 free in 26.88, while Giedre Grigonyte finished second in 27.21. Ruta Meilutyte posted a 27.23 for third place. Paulius Viktoravieius claimed the men's 50 free in 24.09. Edvinas Apeinikovas (24.18) and Justinas Bilis (24.20) placed second and third.
Alona Ribakova (2:27.28), Aiste Dobrovolskaite (2:29.46) and Monika Apeinikovaite (2:36.02) comprised the podium in the women's 200 IM. Vytautas Janusaitis won the men's 200 IM in 2:01.81. Igor Kozlovskij placed a distant second in 2:10.59. Aliaksandr Huletski took third in 2:10.80.
