The 2018 Chinese Championships and Asian Games Selection meet continue in Shanxi, China this week, with national record holder Li Zhuhao claiming his third individual title of the meet to sweep the butterfly events.
Li touched first in the 50 butterfly in 23.55 to add to his titles in the 100 (51.77) and 200 (1:55.66) from earlier in the meet. Xu Jiayu, the World champion in the 100 back and winner of that same event earlier in the meet, also took the 200 back in 1:55.43.
Olympian Sun Yang just missed a fourth individual title in the 100 free when he tied for third with Yang Jintong in 49.48. That was just a tenth behind winner Hou Yujie (49.37). Sun has already won the 200, 400, and 800 freestyles at this meet and is scheduled to swim the mile on the final day.
15 year-old Wang Jianjiahe, the winner of the 1500 free on the first day of the meet, came away with another win in the 800 after going head to head win Li Bingjie once again. Wang once again won by a healthy margin, taking the race in 8:22.65 over Li who was once again runner-up.
