NEW COMMIT: Lehigh University has gained an in-state verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from sprint freestyler Noel Fresa of Pennsburg, Penn.

Fresa does her club swimming with Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA and most recently placed 13th in the 50m free and 15th in the 100m free at YMCA LCM Nationals this past summer. At YMCA SCY Nationals in April, she finaled in the 100 free and earned a best time in the 100 back.

Also competing for Upper Perkiomen High School, Fresa is a six-time Pennsylvania 2A State Championship finalist. She earned silver in the 100 free and bronze in the 200 free as a junior after placing sixth in the 50 free and seventh in the 100 free during her sophomore season.

She told Swimming World:

“Lehigh was a perfect fit academically and when I visited I felt at home with the team and the coaches. Everyone was super welcoming and I couldn’t be more excited to be a mountain hawk!”

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.79
  • 100 free – 50.96
  • 200 free – 1:52.14
