Kentucky Wildcats Score 2021 Verbal from Fox Valley Swim Team’s Megan Ciezczak

NEW COMMIT: Naperville, Ill. native Megan Ciezczak has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Kentucky and will arrive in Lexington at the start of the 2021-22 season.

She will join will join Annie GalvinEmma Hermeston, Sydney Stricklin and Madeline Wenig as a member of the Wildcats’ class of 2025.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Kentucky! I would like to thank my family, friends, coaches, and teammates for helping me achieve this dream! Go Cats!”

A talented freestyler and backstroker, Ciezczak does her club swimming with Fox Valley Swim Team and owns the Winter Juniors cut in the 50m free. She raced two events at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville in January and competed in the 50 free at Juniors West in December. Last summer, she earned four best times at Minneapolis Sectionals and had a strong showing at NCSAs.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.48
  • 100 free – 51.49
  • 50 back – 26.94
  • 100 back – 57.61

A current junior at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Ciezczak has competed at the Illinois State Championships all three seasons thus far. She finished sixth in the 50 free during her sophomore season.
