Junior National Finalist Camden Doane Sends Verbal to Louisville Cardinals

NEW COMMIT: The University of Louisville has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from Camden Doane of Ruston, Wash.

She will join Camille Murray and Caroline Larsen in The Ville as a member of the Cardinals’ Class of 2028.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Louisville! I’d like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for getting me to this point in my swimming career. Thank you to Coach Arthur, Stephanie, and the entire staff for believing in me! Ever since I met the team, it has felt like family and I can’t wait to be a part of it! GO CARDS”

Doane trains year-round with King Aquatic Club and had a great Juniors West meet where she placed fourth in the 200 IM, ninth in the 400 IM and 11th in the 200 fly before going on to win the 100 fly and 200 IM at the Pacific Northwest Championships. Last summer, she raced to sixth in the 200m IM at Junior Nationals, also taking 11th in the 400m free.

Her best times include:

  • 200 fly – 1:57.61
  • 100 fly – 53.65
  • 200 free – 1:47.02
  • 500 free – 4:49.47
  • 200 IM – 1:58.62
  • 400 IM – 4:11.79

Doane is currently a junior at Curtis Senior High School.
