NEW COMMIT: Indiana State University has a new addition to their roster for the fall of 2021 in Trista Bullock of Toronto, Ontario.
She will join Chloe Farro, Elle Gilkerson, Olivia DiRuzza and Alexa Szadorski as members of the Sycamores’ class of 2025.
She told Swimming World:
“I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to swim Division 1 and further my education at Indiana State University. I would like to thank my friends, teammates, coaches, and my family for their continuous support. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to be a Sycamore!”
Bullock trains year-round with North York Aquatic Club and last competed at the Ontario Youth Junior Championships in March where she won the 100m back, took second in the 200m IM, and placed fourth in both the 100m fly and 200m free. Last December, she raced five events at the Ontario Junior International meet.
In Summer 2019, she finaled in the 200m IM at the Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships before going on to take eighth in the 200m back at the Ontario Summer Provincial Championships.
In LCM, her best times include:
- 50m back – 31.09
- 100m back – 1:05.63
- 200m back – 2:25.51
- 50m fly – 31.33
- 100m fly – 1:05.57
- 200m IM – 2:25.82
In SCY, those times convert to:
- 50 back – 27.04
- 100 back – 57.29
- 200 back – 2:07.43
- 50 fly – 27.38
- 100 fly – 58.16
- 200 IM – 2:07.79
Bullock will add valuable depth in a number of different events when she arrives on campus at the start of the 2021-22 season. Her best times (converted to yards) are already fast enough to score in the B-final of the 100 back and 200 IM at the 2020 Missouri Valley Conference Championships where Indiana State finished third overall in the team standings.
