Hohm Stays Home: Nate Hohm Verbals To In-State North Carolina Tar Heels

NEW COMMIT: The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill has picked up a verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from in-state standout Nate Hohm of Charlotte, N.C.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

A Junior National qualifier, Hohm does his Aquatic Team of Mecklenburg. At the Southern Premier Invitational in March, he earned five best times where his highest finish was a sixth-place showing in the 100 free. Last summer, he finished seventh in the 100m free and raced two events at Junior Nationals.

His best times include:

50 free – 20.43
100 free – 45.17
100 back – 51.46
100 breast – 56.96
100 fly – 49.45
200 IM – 1:52.43

Currently a junior at East Mecklenburg High School, Hohm sprinted to third in the 100 free and fourth in the 50 free at the 2023 North Carolina 4A State Championships. He took fourth and second, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.
