Hana Edwards, Ileeya Losey Set to Join Arizona State in Fall 2021
NEW COMMITS: Arizona State University has added two new commitments for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Victoria, British Columbia native Hana Edwards and Ileeya Losey of Ladera Ranch, Calif.
Both talented swimmers will join Emma Gatzke, Ange Harris and Ana Izabella Adame in Tempe as a member of the Sun Devils’ class of 2025.
The Sun Devils, who are currently redshirting this season, finished fifth overall in the team standings at the 2020 Pac-12 Championships under head coach Bob Bowman.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

Primarily a backstroker, Edwards last competed at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville where she placed 16th in the 200m back and 20th in the 100m back. Last December, she earned 100% best times and had four top-14 finishes at the Ontario Junior International meet.
Her best times include (LCM/SCY conversion):
- 50m back – 29.66 / 25.80
- 100m back – 1:02.92 / 54.92
- 200m back – 2:15.30 / 1:58.65
- 200m IM – 2:24.00 / 2:06.29
- 400m IM – 5:05.18 / 4:27.33
At the Canadian Trials in April 2019, Edwards raced to 16th in the 50m back and 17th in the 200m back. She also won the 100m/200m back at the BC Summer Provincial Championships last year.
ILEEYA LOSEY

Regarding her commitment, she said:
“Stoked to announce my verbal commitment to study and swim at Arizona State University! I couldn’t have accomplished this without the support of my friends, family, and coaches! So excited to become a Sun Devil!

Losey does her club swimming with Mission Viejo Nadadores and was a five-time finalist at College Station Sectionals back in February after earning a trio of silver medals at the Husky Invitational last December. In Summer 2019, she

- 500 free – 4:55.61
- 200 free – 1:49.00
- 100 free – 50.77
- 50 free – 23.68
- 100 back – 58.88
Also competing for Tesoro High School, Losey is a four-time individual CIF Southern DI Section Championship finalist. She finished fifth in both the 100 and 200 free as a sophomore while taking sixth in the 200 free and 10th in the 500 free during her freshman year.
