Four-Time Idaho 5A State Finalist Logan Robillard Sends 2022 Verbal to Northern Michigan

NEW COMMIT: Northern Michigan University has officially entered the 2022 recruiting game after receiving their first early verbal commitment from Coeur D’Alene, Idaho native Logan Robillard.

He told Swimming World:

“I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim for Northern Michigan University. I am looking forward to furthering my education and continuing to swim at NMU. The coaching staff is amazing and the team is a great fit. I want to thank my family, current coaches and personal trainer for helping me get to this point. Go Wildcats!”

A talented freestyler, Robillard trains year-round with Coeur D’alene Area Swim Team and most recently earned six best times at the SAC Senior Challenge earlier this month where he won the 1000 free. At the Washington Open back in January, he swam away with nine new lifetime bests and three top-18 finishes.

In Summer 2019, he grabbed gold in the 400m free at the Inland Empire Swimming Championships before going on to take 14th in the 800m free and 18th in the 1500m free at Western Zone Seniors.

His best times include:

  • 100 free – 48.83
  • 200 free – 1:45.13
  • 500 free – 4:42.70
  • 1000 free – 9:45.24
  • 1650 free – 16:28.67

Currently a junior at Lake City High School, Robillard is a four-time individual Idaho 5A State Championship finalist. He was the runner-up in both the 200 free and 500 free as a sophomore while taking fifth and third, respectively, in those events during his freshman season.

Under the leadership of head coach Heidi Voigt and associate head coach Matthew WilliamsNMU finished third in the men’s team standings at the 2020 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

The Wildcats are also bringing in an impressive Class of 2025 that includes James Werwie, Martin WolmaransPatrick AndrewsJackson CotterNathan TrueDean Ramsbottom, and Ezra Billings.
