Findlay vs. Ashland
ASHLAND, Ohio, October 15. THE University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams fell to Ashland University on Friday, October 15 in Ashland, Ohio. The women lost 139-91 while the men fell 121-37 during the dual meet.
On the women's side, Ailsa Hershaw won three events to pace the team as she took first in the 200-yard IM (2:12.56), the 100-yard freestyle (54.75) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.52).
Tonya Tikhonova added a first place finish in the 200-yard free (2:01.77), Nikki Schnell-McCoy was the top placer in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.07) and Maddie Bell won the 1-meter dive (214.48)
On the men's side, David Conti captured a first place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:05.47) and Tim Andersson-Lind was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly (54.43).
The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow when they compete against Lake Erie College at 1 pm in Painesville, Ohio.
