European Champion Lisa Mamie Wins 200 Breaststroke At Swiss Championships
The second day of the Swiss Championships in Uster featured the likes of Lisa Mamie and Antonio Djakovic with Olympic trials season in full swing.
It followed an opening-day 22.65 blast by Noè Ponti as he propelled himself to sixth in the all-time 50 fly rankings with the 100 and 200 to come over the weekend.
Mamie went 2:27.01, outside the Olympic A cut and 5.26secs slower than her Swiss record of 2:22.05, set back in May 2021 en-route to European silver in Budapest.
The 2022 European 200 champion missed both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ cuts on the opening night.
IM specialist Jeremy Desplanches was also outside the ‘A’ cut in the men’s equivalent in 2:14.38.
Djakovic added the 100 free to his 200 title in 49.43, outside the ‘A’ cut although he does the 400 QT, while Marius Toscan won the 4IM in 4:20.45.
Nina Kreundl won the women’s 200IM in 2:14.16 and Nina Kost won the 50 back in 28.65
