Euro-Meet: Yannick Lebherz Sets Meet Record

LUXEMBOURG, January 23. YANNICK Lebherz opened the first day of swimming at the long course meter Luxembourg Euro-Meet with a meet record. Lebherz hit the wall in 4:22.35 to break the record in the men's 400 IM. Lukasz Wojt of Poland set the previous standard with a 4:24.69 in 2006.
In other men's action, Greece's Petros Petropoulos knocked off meet-record holder Thomas Lurz, 15:17.15 to 15:21.81 in the 1500 free. Meanwhile, Christian Kubusch took home the 200 fly in 2:03.46.
For the women, Tjasa Oder clocked an 8:57.07 to win the 800 free, while Paula Camino Estudillo raced to a 2:13.61 to win the 200 fly.
Theresa Michalak owned the 400 IM crown with a time of 4:51.40 to complete the first set of finals.
