Elsha Pribadi Posts Three Wins, Two Top-10 Times to Lead Rutgers

Freshman Elsha Pribadi recorded three wins on Saturday, two in top-10 program times, as Rutgers beat Villanova, 199-99.

Pribadi swept both breaststroke events and finished off the nonconference victory in Piscataway by capturing the 200 individual medley. She went 1:02.12 in the 100 breast to edge teammate Tina Celik by .22 seconds.

Pribadi’s time of 2:14.12 in the 200 breast placed her fifth in Scarlet Knights program history. Her 2:01.88 in the IM is seventh all-time for Rutgers.

Pribadi helped Rutgers win all but two events on the day. Both breaststroke wins were podium sweeps, with Celik second and Molly Urkiel third. Celik was also second in the 200 IM.

Maryna Piesko sped to the win in the 50 freestyle in 23.51 seconds and won the 100 butterfly in 54.25. Valeria Egorova swept backstroke, winning the 100 in 55.87 and the 200 in 2:00.23.

Rutgers swept both distance events. Megan Fox won the 1,000 free ahead of teammate Orian Gablan. The two swapped places in the 500 free. Shannon Meadway won the 200 free and was second in the 200 back. Holly Prasanto swept the diving events for Rutgers. Her score of 297.60 on 1-meter is seventh in program history. She added 315.15 to win 3-meter.

Villanova’s lone wins came in the middle of the meet. Katie White won the 200 fly in 2:03.70. Alyssa McHale led a 1-2 with teammate Lainey Quinones in the 100 free with a winning time of 52.54. Quinones had been second in the 50 free. Audrey Pastorek was second in the 100 back and third in the 200 back and 200 IM for the Wildcats.
