Eddie Reese is working with the Singapore Olympic team. Reese is the three time men’s head coach of the United States Olympic Team. Just over a week ago, USA Swimming announced Jack BauerleDave Durden and Mike Bottom as the assistants to head coach Bob Bowman.

Sergio Lopez will still serve as the national head coach in his finale with the Singapore Swimming Association. Singapore will send three Olympic swimmers to the Rio Games. Joseph Schooling highlights that roster, which also includes Quah Zheng Wen and Ting Wen.

While Lopez served as Schooling’s coach in high school when the two were at Bolles, Reese has coached the 21 year old to multiple NCAA titles.

Schooling told TODAY, “This is great for Singapore, Eddie is really experienced and having him on our side is phenomenal. I’m excited to go to the Olympics with two of my coaches (Reese and Lopez). This could not have turned out better.”

Reese will be able to continue coaching Schooling into the Games. Had he served as a US Olympic coach, he would have been heading off to the US Olympic Team camps instead.
