Dynamo Swim Club broke the 13-14 National Age Group record in the 4×200 freestyle relay on Friday at Georgia Tech.
Tristen Ulett, Jade Foelski, Abby Grottle, and Addie Farrington swam an 8:25.54 in a time trial at the 2016 Georgia 14&Under Championships in Atlanta, GA. All four of the swimmers are 14.
Ulett, who was 13 at Olympic Trials, posted the fastest split in 2:03.76. Foelski swam a 2:08.02 and Grottle’s time was a 2:08.30. Farrington turned in a 2:05.46 in the anchor leg. Their total time was nearly four seconds faster than the old record.
Nation’s Capital’s Cassidy Bayer, Megan Byrnes, Lea Gwennap, and Emily Meilus previously held the mark at 8:29.38, set in 2013. Their splits were a 2:06.26, 2:07.72, 2:07.59, and 2:07.81.
