NEW COMMIT: Harvard University has added their third verbal commitment* for their growing Class of 2026 from Junior National qualifier Lizzie Brock of Englewood, Colo.

She will join Kaia Li and Sydney Lu in Cambridge at the start of the 2022-23 season.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I feel so blessed and honored to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process at Harvard University! It is a dream come true to continue my academic and athletic passions with such a loving and empowered group of women. I can’t thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches enough for supporting me every single day. GO CRIMSON❣️❤️”

A talented freestyle, Brock does her club swimming with the Colorado Stars and finished 24th in the mile at Juniors West in 2019 before going on to record five top-15 finishes at Plantation Sectionals last February. In Summer 2019, she won the 400m free at Colorado LCM Seniors where she also grabbed silver in the 1500m free and bronze in the 800m free.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:50.77
  • 500 free – 4:49.90
  • 1650 free – 17:07.08
  • 100 back – 57.64
  • 200 free – 2:01.71

Currently a junior at Cherry Creek High School, Brock finished third in the 200 free and fourth in the 500 free as a sophomore at the Colorado 5A State Championships. She has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts in the pool and in the classroom.

Even with just under two years to go before suiting up for the Crimson in the fall of 2022, Brock will add valuable depth to their lineup. She would’ve scored in the B-final of the 500 free and placed top-20 in the mile at the 2020 Ivy League Championships where Harvard was the team runner-up.

*IVY LEAGUE DISCLAIMER:* A “verbal commitment” does not guarantee admission. An Ivy League coach cannot guarantee admission but can only commit support in the admissions process.
