CLEMSON, South Carolina, December 13. THIS weekend, SaveClemsonSwimming.org sent out another request for the swimming community to show support for the team by way of an online petition.
Earlier this year, Clemson announced that it would phase out men's and women's swimming and men's diving at the school by the end of 2012.
Here is the request circulated by SaveClemsonSwimming.org:
On April 30th, 2010, Clemson University announced a plan to phase out the men's and women's swimming and men's diving teams. As of right now, the teams will end in 2012.
SaveClemsonSwimming.org has created a petition for supporters of the reinstatement of the Clemson swimming and diving programs beyond 2012. We ask that you sign this petition in support of this effort.
