CIF Southern Section Champion Jamie Brennan Verbally Commits to Northwestern

NEW COMMIT: Northwestern University has received a new verbal commitment for their growing Class of 2026 from Jamie Brennan of Los Angeles, California.

She will join Audrey Yu, Lindsay ErvinHana Shimizu-BowersMackenzie Lanning and Riley Huddleston as a member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2026.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Northwestern! Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, and I can’t wait to join the class of 2026!! GO CATS???”

Brennan trains year-round with Beach Cities Swimming and most recently won the 50m free, 100m free, and 200m IM at Santa Clarita Futures last month after finaling in four events at the TYR 18&U Spring Cup in Irvine back in April.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.44
  • 100 free – 50.20
  • 200 free – 1:48.40
  • 100 fly – 55.78
  • 200 fly – 2:02.70
  • 100 breast – 1:03.84
  • 200 IM – 2:01.91

Also competing for Chadwick School, Brennan won the 100 free and 200 free at the 2021 CIF Southern DIII Section Championships in May during her junior season. As a freshman, she placed third in the 100 free and fourth in the 100 breast at that meet.

The Wildcats finished fourth overall in the team standings at the 2021 Big Ten Championships, and Katie Robinson is now in her second season as Northwestern’s head coach.
