BELCONNEN, Australia, August 20. According to a report in the Herald-Sun, Swimming Australia's head coach Alan Thompson has been offered a one-year extension following the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Rebecca Williams reported that, "Swimming Australia chief executive Glenn Tasker said the extension would allow Thompson to put plans in place to combat potential retirements after the Beijing Games next August."
