Chesapeake Elite Pro-Am: Adam Mania Doubles
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, December 19. WHILE representing Schroeder YMCA, Adam Mania garnered a pair of individual event titles during the second evening of competition at the Chesapeake Elite Pro-Am.
Tanica Jamison of Longhorn grabbed the women's 200 free title in 1:45.57, with Rachel Komisarz placing second in 1:46.37. Meanwhile, Mission Viejo's Tom Shields topped Longhorn's Dale Rogers, 1:35.09 to 1:35.84, in the men's 200 free.
Lakeside's Elizabeth Tinnon touched first in the women's 100 breast with a 1:00.53, over Keri Hehn's 1:01.01 representing Trojan. Mania touched out Rogers, 54.38 to 54.46, in the men's edition of the 100 breast.
Komisarz moved up from silver to gold with a dominant 51.95 in the women's 100 fly as Minnesota's Roxane Akradi took second in 54.35. Mania claimed his second win in a row with a touch-out triumph, 47.50 to 47.53, over Camilo Becerra of FAST.
Nadadores' Claire Singley took the women's 400 IM title in 4:27.52, while Catherine Wagner of Dads finished second in 4:29.23. Dallas Mustang Matt Thompson won the men's 400 IM in 3:46.54 over Greenville's Matt Houser's 3:53.02.
In 400 free relay action, FAST's Jessica Schauwecker, Kristi Dena, Julia Anderson and Kristalyn McAfee won the women's race in 3:31.01, while Mustangs Jonathon Berrettini, Matt Roney, Scott Weeks and Thompson captured the men's race in 3:03.37.
