Charlotte to Charlottesville: Charlotte Wilson Verbals to Virginia for 2024-25

NEW COMMIT: The University of Virginia, the two-time defending national champions, has picked up yet another big verbal commitment for 2024, this time from Charlotte Wilson of Englewood, Colo.

She will join Leah Hayes, Anna Moesch and Katie Christopherson in Charlottesville as a member of the Hoos’ Class of 2028.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I could not be more excited to announce my commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Virginia! I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches at TOPS for supporting me and helping me achieve this dream! GO HOOS!”

Wilson does her club swimming with University of Denver Hilltoppers and most recently competed at Juniors West where she placed fifth in the 200 back, sixth in the 100 back and 13th in the 200 IM. This past summer, she won the B-final of the 100m back at Junior Nationals.

Her best times include:

50 back – 25.01
100 back – 52.70
200 back – 1:54.50
100 fly – 53.94
200 IM – 1:59.56
100 free – 50.44

Currently a junior at Cherry Creek High School, Wilson was the runner-up in both the 100 back and 200 IM at the 2022 Colorado 5A State Championships. She raced to eighth in both the 100 fly and 100 back as a freshman.
