LONG BEACH, California. February, 23. WHAT a way to start a great meet. The Wildcats and the Bears are already at a tie in what will no doubt be a great competition.
The Arizona women started off the night with a win in the 200 medley relay with the team of Marshi Smith, Erin Sieper, Lara Jackson, and Anna Turner. The women touched in with a 1:39.60, the team from Cal was second with a 1:39.98.
Next was the 800 free which tied up the two teams. The Cal women touched first with Ashley Chandler, Lauren Andrews, Lauren Rogers, and Erin Reilly at 7:08.31. Arizona was second with a 7:10.00.
The two teams stand even with 120 points each.
