A night after posting the third-fastest time in the world in a 50 freestyle victory, Caeleb Dressel completed the sprint freestyle sweep with a 100 free national title. Dressel clocked 48.78 to win the event over Jack Conger. Dressel’s time ranks as the second best in the world this year by an American, behind just Nathan Adrian’s 48.31 from Worlds.
After the race, Dressel discussed his race plan, explaining why he expected to be behind from the gun and use his back half speed to catch up. He also predicted what it will take to make the Olympic team next summer in the 100 free and explained why he has been writing different Bible verses on his face each night at finals.

Go Gators!
I really like this kid. Hope he makes the next Olympic team.
