Brazilian Swimmer Rogerio Karfunkelstein Tests Positive

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, January 30. ACCORDING to a release from the Brazilian Swimming Federation (CBDA), FINA has informed the CBDA that Rogerio Karfunkelstein tested positive from a sample taken on Dec. 14, 2007.

The CBDA stated that Karfunkelstein tested positive for Stanozolol, which is an anabolic steroid.

According to the CBDA, Karfunkelstein claims that he took the steroid to help rehabilitate a knee injury before the meet in December.
