NEW COMMIT: Auburn University has received a new verbal commitment for the 2023-24 season and beyond from U.S. Open qualifier Michelle Kaner of Des Plaines, Illinois.

She will join Aislyn Barnett and Morgan Carteaux as a member of the Tigers’ Class of 2027.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m beyond humbled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Auburn University! 💙🧡A huge thank you to my family, coaches, friends and teammates for supporting me throughout this process and getting me to this point. WAR EAGLE!! 🦅 🦅 #WDE”

A talented freestyler and backstroker, Kraner does her club swimming with Glenbrook Aquatics and most recently raced the 200m back at Junior Nationals after taking 11th in that event in 2021. She also won the 200 back at Illinois Seniors in March.
