The opening session consisted of relays and diving. The Air Force leads the men’s meet after the first day, while Northern Arizona leads the women’s meet.

Western Athletic Conference Championships: Women’s 200 Medley Relay
New Mexico State won the 200 medley relay to open the meet. Maude Boily-DuFour, Ashley Reynolds, Reagan Nentwich and Neza Koeijan won in 1:39.94.
Cal-State Bakersfield was second as Tahea Mose, Linny Sohoel-Smith, Autum D’Arcy and Mikayla Popham finished in 1:40.38.
Northern Arizona’s Sarah O’Connor, Hope Williams, Elisa Rodriguez and Miranda Nichols finished third in 1:40.82.

Western Athletic Conference Championships: Women’s 1-Meter Diving
Northern Arizona took the top two spots in 1-meter diving as Jenny Cheetham won the title with 297.70 points. Teammate Emily Sharrer finished second with a score of 279.95.
Grand Canyon’s Sara Lameiro Castellanos was third with 263.60, followed by Northern Arizona’s Emily Luberto (256.90), giving NAU a 1-2-4 finish.
