The book includes a detailed description of every Olympic swimming event from 1896 to 1936, including a lead-up to the event, the preliminaries, semifinals and finals. The book was written by two-time Olympic head coach Peter Daland, with editorial assistance by former Swimming World Magazine Editor-in-Chief Phil Whitten.
