ZUMO Performance of the Week: Ihar Boki Wins Six Gold Medals at World Para Swimming Championships
Belarus’ Ihar Boki won an incredible six gold medals and one bronze at the World Para Swimming Championships in London this last week. The decorated Paralympian, who has eleven gold medals from London 2012 and Rio 2016, broke championship records in the S13 100 fly and 100 free this week.
Boki was able to capture gold in the 400 free (4:01.49), 100 back (57.73), 100 free (50.74), 200 IM (2:05.04), 100 fly (53.95) and 50 free (23.30). He also won a bronze in the 100 breast (1:05.20) at the meet.
Boki had the same medal record at the last Paralympics in Rio, winning all six of his individual events and also grabbing a bronze in the 100 breast.
