At Indiana SCY Seniors in March, she placed eighth in the 200 IM. Atkins competed for Lawrence North High School at the 2017 Indiana State Championships during her junior season where she placed 13th in the 100 back.

She told Swimming World:

“Super excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Xavier University!! Huge thank you to everyone who has been by my side through this journey. Can’t wait to be a musketeer!!”

Her best times include:

  • 100 back – 57.09

When she suits up for Xavier as a member of the class of 2023, Atkins will join a backstroke training group that includes Ali Fort and a breaststroke squad led by Lydia Schaeffer. She would’ve scored in the B-final of the 200 IM, 100 back and both breaststroke events at the 2018 Big East Championships.
