World Cup Stop in New York to Air on Television

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, February 1. AS far as the United States is concerned, it's rare that swimming events are televised. So, the fact that the World Cup in New York will be aired on the Outdoor Life Network is a positive development.

The meet will be held Friday and Saturday (Feb. 3-4) in Long Island and will feature a number of American Olympians and several international Olympians. The event is slated to be broadcast by OLN on Feb. 18 at 5 p.m. (EST). The channel is known for covering the Tour de France and this year has ventured into the NHL.

Having just completed a three-stop run in Europe, the World Cup has attracted its best field for the New York meet. On the male side, the likes of Michael Phelps and Brendan Hansen will highlight competition. On the female side, Kaitlin Sandeno and Kate Ziegler are among the headliners.
