QUEENS, New York, September 23. THE swimming community will have another impressive facility soon, this time located in Queens, N.Y. In another spark of creativity, a hybrid swimming pool/ice rink is under construction at Flushing Meadows Park.
According to the Queens Chronicle, works continues on the massive $55 million project that will offer an Olympic-sized pool as well as a diving area.
Additionally, the complex will include an ice rink that will meet National Hockey League standards. The building is expected to be completed next fall.
