Woodard Heads to North Carolina State as Assistant Coach

RALEIGH, N.C., June 7. AFTER nearly five years as an assistant coach at Colorado State, Chris Woodard is joining the staff at North Carolina State as an assistant to head coach Brooks Teal. Woodard will immediately begin working on the Wolf Pack’s recruiting.

A graduate of Hartwick College, Woodard was a breaststroke specialist during his collegiate career and arrives at N.C. State with more than a decade’s worth of competition and coaching experience. He also formerly served as the head coach of the Shawmut Aquatic Club in Boston.

"I am very excited to have Woody joining our staff and bringing to Wolfpack Swimming and Diving the passion and love for coaching that we need in our program," Teal said. "He has a great rapport with his swimmers and is a tremendous recruiter. I am confident that he will fit in well with our team and his expertise will be a driving force to help N.C. State continue its climb up the ACC and NCAA ladder."
