Westminster Men’s & Women’s Swimmers Close 2005-06 Season at CWRU Veale Classic

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. February 19. THREE members of the Westminster College men's & women's swimming teams (photos attached) closed the 2005-06 season this weekend at the Veale Classic, hosted by Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Junior Ryan Trunk (Brookline, MA/Cheshire Academy H.S.) led the way for the Titan men, capturing both the 50 freestyle (21.73) and 100 freestyle (47.99). Junior Pat Smith (South Park/South Park H.S.) also touched first in the 200 backstroke (1:59.62).

On the women's side, sophomore Becky Giles (Johnstown/Westmont Hilltop H.S.) posted a first-place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:10.14)
