NEW COMMIT: Bellevue, Wash. native Rylee Siripipat has announced her commitment to the University of Utah and will arrive in Salt Lake City as a member of the Utes’ class of 2024.

Siripipat swims year-round with Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club and capped off her summer at Mount Hood Futures where she finished 12th in the 200m IM after earning bronze in the 400m IM at Pacific Northwest LCM Seniors. Last winter, she notched four best times at Washington Seniors before going on to final in the 200 IM at Federal Way Sectionals.

Also competing for Bellevue High School, Siripipat is a five-time Washington 3A State Championship finalist. She finished second in the 200 IM and third in the 100 breast as a senior, first and seventh as a junior, 10th and ninth during her sophomore season, and 15th in the 200 IM in her rookie campaign.

She told Swimming World:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Utah for the Class of 2024! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing team! I would like to thank everyone who has helped me in this process. Go Utes!”

Her best times include:

  • 200 IM – 2:04.56
  • 100 breast – 1:04.81
  • 200 breast – 2:23.35
  • 100 free – 53.42

Siripipat will add valuable depth to the Utes’ lineup when she suits up for them at the start of the 2020-21 season. Although she’s not in scoring range just yet at the Pac-12 Championships, she has consistently made improvements each season.
