Washington 2A State Champion Florence Lo Commits to Occidental College

NEW COMMIT: Bellingham, Washington native and Futures qualifier Florence Lo has committed to Occidental College and will arrive on campus in the fall of 2022.

She told Swimming World:

“I’m super excited to announce my commitment to swim and study at Occidental College! I could not be more thankful for my coaches, friends, and family for always supporting me. I can’t wait to spend the next 4 years in Los Angeles with such an awesome team! Go Tigers!!”

Lo has been swimming for 13 years and has trained with Bellingham Bay Swim Team for 11 years where she owns several club records. She most recently competed at the PN LSC 15&O Winter Championships, earning two best times and finaling in four events. Last summer, she notched a pair of lifetime bests at Austin Sectionals.

Her best times include:

100 Breast – 1:05.87
100 Fly – 58.33
200 Breast – 2:26.11
200IM – 2:10.62

Lo is a senior at Sehome High School with a 4.0 GPA. She won the 100 breast this past season at the 2021 Washington 2A State Championships.
