Washington 2A Boys High School State Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Washington, March 4. SEHOME tallied 142 points at the Washington 2A Boys High School State Championships for the state title, followed by Aberdeen (62) and Burlington-Edison (53).
Individual Results
Sehome won all three relays. Jordan Fish, Austin Fish, Scott Carlyle, and Evan Schmidt set a meet record in the 200 medley relay (1:41.59). A. Fish also won the 100 breaststroke (1:00.87).
Ryley Pearson of Burlington-Edison set meet records in the 200 freestyle (1:47.66) and the 100 butterfly (52.27).
J. Fish set meet records in the 500 freestyle (4:59.96) and the 100 backstroke (54.55).
Sophomore Nic Hutchinson (Sehome) won the diving competition with a score of 334.90. Bryce Griffin (Squalicum) and Bryan Yates (Anacortes) followed with scores of 302.55 and 274.10 respectively.
Tyler VanDooren, Schmidt, Ryan Newell, and Alex Thon combined for a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay (1:31.58). Thon touched out Erik Larson (Aberdeen) by .03 seconds for a win in the 100 freestyle (49.55).
J. Fish, A. Fish, VanDooren, and Thon teamed up to close the meet with a meet record in the 400 freestyle relay (3:21.49).
