Virginia Women, Texas Men Remain Atop CSCAA Top 25 Polls
The Virginia women’s team and Texas men remain atop the CSCAA Top 25 dual-meet polls released on Thursday.
Both teams netted the maximum 400 points. They’ve each been on top since the preseason poll was released in November.
On the men’s side, Arizona State and Indiana followed the Longhorns for the second straight month. Florida hopped California into fourth, followed by NC State and George. Stanford swapped places with Louisville into eighth, while the big mover is Ohio state, up to No. 10 from 16th place. Virginia Tech (19th) and Kentucky (23rd) entered the rankings.
The top four remained unchanged on the women’s side. Virginia leads, followed by Texas, Stanford and Michigan. California rose two spots to fifth. Louisville remains sixth. NC State is up a spot into seventh. Tennessee fell three places to eighth. Indiana and Florida flipped to round out the top 10. Texas A&M is the lone new face at 24th.

The poll is voted on by a committee of Division I coaches who evaluate and rank the nation’s top 25 dual meet teams. Considerations include head-to-head dual meet results, recent performances since the previous poll, season-long outcomes, dual meet records, roster changes (such as injuries), and data from the SwimCloud Simulator. It is important to note that the poll is not intended to predict championship meet finishes.
