Virginia Tech Hokies Collect 2021 Verbal from YMCA National Finalist Julia Nappi

NEW COMMIT: Virginia Tech has recently scored a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2021 from Colts Neck, N.J. native Julia Nappi.

She will join Ava Yandle, Alexandra Eastmond and Athena Vanyo in Blacksburg as a member of the Hokies’ class of 2025.

Her best times include:

100 breast – 1:03.77
200 breast – 2:16.89
200 IM – 2:07.04

Primarily a breaststroker, Nappi does her club swimming with Red Bank Aquarockets Y and owns the Junior National cut in the 200 breast. She most recently earned silver in the 200m breast at New Jersey Seniors in February as well as at the NK EEX Holiday Classic in December.

Last summer, she finished ninth in her signature event at YMCA LCM Nationals while also placing 18th in the 100m breast. Nappi was also a two-time finalist at YMCA SCY Nationals in April 2019 where she achieved two best times.
