17-year-old Canadian Taylor Ruck posted a stunning double Friday evening at the TYR Pro Swim Series meet in Atlanta, winning the 200 back in 2:06.36 and then turning around to win the 200 free in 1:56.85. Afterwards, Ruck explained why she was stunned at her two back-to-back lifetime bests.

Ruck reacted to the fact that she swam almost two seconds faster than Australians Kaylee McKeown and Emily Seebohm did in the 200 back at the Australian Trials earlier in the day. She discussed why she’s having such consistent success and how she has adjusted to training with Ben Titley in Toronto and living away from home in Arizona.
