18-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps met with the media at the Olympic Trials Saturday morning alongside his longtime coach, Bob Bowman. Phelps is preparing to swim in his fifth Olympic Trials—the third in Omaha—having made the team in each of the previous five.

Phelps spoke extensively how his approach to the meet differs from four years ago, when he was admittedly disinterested in swimming, and how his life has changed since the birth of son Boomer. He also speculated on which events he would swim—but refused to reveal anything for certain—and looked ahead to his future as an assistant coach to Bowman at Arizona State.
