Kelsi Worrell of the University of Louisville delivered an astounding performance in prelims of the women’s 100-meter butterfly. The stadium roared with excitement as Worrell soared to a 56.84 finish, becoming the first and only swimmer of the morning to clock a sub-57.

The American Record holder in the 100-Y fly has been steadily improving and peaking at just the right times. Worrell thanked her coaches and teammates for pushing her in practice and commented on being excited about racing against fellow-butterflyer and TYR athlete Dana Vollmer.
