Cal men’s coach Dave Durden will serve as head coach of the U.S. men’s team this summer at the World Championships. After the

final day of prelims at U.S. Nationals, Durden reacted to the team that had been put together.

Durden discussed how the men’s team will miss the presence of Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte but also how other swimmers are growing into new roles, including the increasingly-versatile Caeleb Dressel.

Durden also previewed some of the biggest challenges the Worlds team will face, broke down some of the team’s strengths and weaknesses and explained what lessons about relay planning her learned from serving as head coach of the Worlds team in 2015.
