Carsten Vissering helped USC to a third-place finish in the 4×100 medley relay in 3:01.83 at the 2018 NCAA Championships. Vissering split a 50.90 on the breaststroke leg, marking his first time going under 51 seconds.

The junior talked about his experience studying abroad, stating it gave him a much-needed change of scenery and helped him become more appreciative of his coaching staff at USC. He said his change in viewpoint helped him come back to school with a better mindset and more excited about swimming.
