South Carolina’s Akram Mahmoud won the men’s 1650 free at the the 2018 SEC Championships, posting a final time of 14:37.01 for an NCAA automatic qualifying standard.

The senior talks about wanting to go under 14:35 but is still proud of his final time. He also discusses the training environment at South Carolina and his race plan next month at NCAAs.
