USA Water Polo Announces Roster For World Cup Division I Action
USA Water Polo Men’s National Team head coach Dejan Udovicic has announced the roster of 16 athletes selected for competition at the upcoming 2026 World Aquatics World Cup Division I Tournament, set for April 6-12 in Alexandroupolis, Greece. Only 14 athletes will be eligible for each match and they will be determined prior to each game day.
Team USA has been drawn into Group B where the action begins Monday, April 6 when the United States opens play against Croatia at 11:15 am pacific time. They’ll also meet Italy and Spain in group play. Live streaming of the World Cup Division 1 Tournament will be available on the World Aquatics website.
This event marks the senior national team debut for Luke Nelson. Two-time Olympians Max Irving, Hannes Daube, and Marko Vavic anchor a squad that features 11 returners from the 2025 World Aquatics Championships last summer in Singapore.
Team USA will train before the tournament in Kotor, Montenegro and play an exhibition game against Montenegro on April 3 at 10:00am pt.
